Resum
In 1695, Spanish monk Andres de Avendaño discovered the ruins of Tikal, a once-mighty Mayan city. The Maya faced environmental challenges, leading to their civilization's collapse around 900 AD. Factors included deforestation, drought, and societal strains. Despite their achievements, the Mayan legacy faded, leaving behind crumbling monuments and lost knowledge.
