Just How Small is an Atom?

Atoms are incredibly small, with a grapefruit containing an immense number of nitrogen atoms. When visualized as blueberries, the Earth would represent the size of these atoms. The nucleus, containing most of the atom's mass, is tiny and dense, with vast empty space between it and the electrons.
