We’re excited to introduce Sider v4.19.0, now featuring Artifacts! This new addition allows you to create, edit, and download a wide range of digital resources—such as documents, websites, diagrams, and more—right within Sider. Let’s dive into what Artifacts are and how you can make the most of them.
What are Artifacts?
Artifacts are specialized outputs you generate while chatting with Sider, such as documents, diagrams, or websites. Unlike regular text responses generated in the conversation box, Artifacts are crafted and previewed in a separate window alongside your conversation. You can create them by simply asking Sider, for example, "Generate a workflow diagram" or "Create a Snake game." Once generated, these artifacts can be flexibly edited using natural language commands, letting you modify and refine them to suit your requirements.
Key Features of Artifacts
- Editable and Iterative: Users can modify and build upon the content within Artifacts, allowing for ongoing development and refinement.
- Standalone Pieces: Artifacts exist independently and do not require additional conversational context, making them easy to reference and reuse.
- Interactive: Users can engage with the content in various ways, such as editing text or viewing diagrams.
- Reusable: Once created, Artifacts can be used across different projects or sessions, enhancing productivity and consistency.
How to Use Artifacts in Sider
Step 1. Open the sidebar, click “Tools” in the input box, and toggle on “Artifacts.”
Step 2. Enter your queries to activate Artifacts dynamically as required.
Step 3. Preview the output in a new tab.
Step 4. Input your command further to edit it if needed.
Step 5. Copy or download Artifacts for use elsewhere.
