Sider v4.29.0 introduces prompt editing in chat history, allowing you to modify your previous messages in ongoing conversations. This feature addresses the common need to refine or correct prompts without starting a new conversation.
Key Benefits
- Iterate and Improve: Refine your prompts based on the AI's responses without creating new chat threads
- Save Time: Quickly modify existing prompts instead of retyping similar questions
- Learn and Adapt: Experiment with different prompt variations to understand what works best
- Maintain Context: Keep your conversation history organized while improving your prompts
How to Use
Step 1. Hover over any of your previous messages in the Chat
Step 2. Click the edit icon (pencil) that appears
Step 3. Modify your prompt and hit the send icon
Step 4. The AI will generate a new response based on your edited prompt
You can use the left and right arrow buttons below your message to switch between the original and edited versions, making it easy to compare different approaches and their results.
The same version switching feature now works for regenerated responses too - instead of showing new attempts below the original, you can switch between different versions using the arrow buttons. For easier comparison, click the fullscreen button to view all versions side by side.
Version Update
Sider automatically updates to the latest version. Most users should already have v4.29.0 installed and ready to use.
