Sider Desktop (windows) “Recording Notes” turns every meeting into actionable knowledge.
In today’s remote and hybrid work, accurate capture and efficient recap of meeting information directly impact team efficiency and project progress. Sider Desktop’s new “Recording Notes” feature, detects your voice scenarios without disruption, performs real-time transcription and note-taking, and uses RAG + LLM after the meeting to generate structured “enhanced notes.” One meeting, multiple outcomes.

How it works

Activates passively, only when you need it

When microphone input is detected (meetings, calls, screen recording with voice, etc.), a bottom-right card appears: Choose “Start recording” or “Set auto-start rules”

During recording: see what’s said, capture what matters

  • Uses native Windows Speech Recognition

  • Add highlights and remarks while transcribing

  • When you’re back to inbox or elsewhere, a top status bar keeps “Recording” visible

Stop recording: auto-generate “enhanced notes”

  • On stop, the transcript is uploaded and a RAG pipeline is triggered
  • The system uses your notes and transcript with an LLM to generate enhanced notes
  • Switch templates and regenerate anytime
  • Accuracy upgrade: if the live transcript isn’t accurate enough, use Whisper to re-transcribe. Enhanced notes and chat will then rely on Whisper’s output.

1.Don’ t want pop-ups every time?
Check “Do not remind next time” on the card to whitelist the app, or manage rules in Settings.
2.Is the language wrong?
Switch recognition language anytime; re-transcribe with Whisper afterward if needed.
3.Can I customize the enhanced notes?
Yes. Choose or modify templates and regenerate with one click.
4.Will it interrupt my work?
No. Use the floating bar, and rely on the inbox top status bar as a gentle reminder.
