We are making a few updates to Sider’s model lineup and credit usage rules to bring you the latest technology while keeping our platform sustainable. Here is everything you need to know.
1.Introducing GPT-5.2
We have added GPT-5.2 to Sider. It is available now as our newest top-tier model.
What’s new in GPT-5.2?
Designed for professional knowledge work, GPT-5.2 offers significant improvements over previous generations:
- Coding & Vision: It delivers state-of-the-art performance in software engineering and has a much stronger understanding of charts and diagrams.
- Reliability: It features improved reasoning with reduced hallucination rates, making it more dependable for critical workflows.
Credit Cost:
- Standard use: 2 advanced credits per task
- Thinking mode: 4 advanced credits per task
2.Credit Adjustments for Claude Sonnet 4.5 & Gemini 3 Pro
Previously, using Claude Sonnet 4.5 and Gemini 3 Pro consumed 1 advanced credit (3 with Thinking). However, due to the high upstream API costs associated with these models, the previous credit rate is no longer sustainable.
To ensure we can keep offering them without interruption, we are adjusting their rates:
- Standard use: Now 2 advanced credits
- Thinking mode: Now 4 advanced credits
Important note: If you prefer the original credit rate, the previous generation of flagship models—including GPT-5.1, Claude Sonnet 4, and Gemini 2.5 Pro—remain available at 1 advanced credit (3 with Thinking mode). These models still deliver excellent performance for most tasks.
3.Streamlining Our Model List
To improve the user experience and reduce clutter, we are retiring several older models that have been superseded by newer, more capable versions.
Models being retired:
Removing these allows us to focus our resources on maintaining and optimizing the modern models you actually use.
4.Other Models Remain Unchanged
All other models not mentioned above remain available at their current credit costs.
